A New Chapter Begins: Welcome Pastor Nathaniel Fryer
We are overjoyed to welcome Pastor Nathaniel Fryer to First Presbyterian Church of Boonton! As we approach our 200th year of faithful service to our community, we celebrate this exciting new chapter in our church’s story and look forward to the journey ahead under Pastor Fryer’s spiritual leadership.
A Legacy of Faith and Service
For nearly two centuries, First Presbyterian Church has been a cornerstone of the Boonton community and the surrounding areas. Our congregation has weathered changing times while remaining steadfast in our commitment to worship, fellowship, and service. As we welcome Pastor Fryer, we do so with hearts full of gratitude for our past and excitement for our future.
Pastor Fryer joins us at a pivotal moment in our church’s history. His pastoral gifts, compassionate heart, and dedication to serving others align perfectly with our mission and values. We believe his leadership will strengthen our congregation and deepen our impact in the community we love.
Living Out Our Mission
At First Presbyterian Church of Boonton, we don’t just talk about faith—we put it into action. Our church is home to two vital ministries that embody our commitment to serving our neighbors:
Loaves and Fishes Community Food Pantry continues to provide essential food assistance to families in need, ensuring that no one in our community goes hungry. This ministry reflects our belief that everyone deserves dignity and access to basic necessities.
Gateway Community Center offers a welcoming space where community members can find support, connection, and resources. Through this ministry, we extend Christ’s love beyond our sanctuary walls and into the daily lives of those we serve.
A Matthew 25 Church
We are proud to be a Matthew 25 church, answering Christ’s call to bold and faithful action. This designation reflects our commitment to three critical areas of ministry:
- Building congregational vitality by deepening our spiritual lives and strengthening our faith community
- Dismantling structural racism by working toward justice and equality for all people
- Eradicating systemic poverty through direct service and advocacy for those in need
Jesus’s words in Matthew 25 guide our mission: “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” This scripture is not just something we quote—it’s how we live.
Looking Forward Together
As Pastor Fryer settles into our community, we invite everyone—longtime members, occasional visitors, and those who have yet to walk through our doors—to join us in this new season. Whether you’re seeking a spiritual home, looking for ways to serve, or want to connect with a caring community, there’s a place for you at First Presbyterian Church of Boonton.
Together with Pastor Fryer’s guidance, we will continue to be a beacon of hope, a source of support, and a community where all are welcomed in Christ’s name. We look forward to growing in faith, deepening our service, and making a lasting difference in Boonton and beyond.
Welcome, Pastor Fryer. We are blessed to walk this journey with you.
First Presbyterian Church of Boonton has been serving our community with faith, hope, and love for almost 200 years. Join us as we continue this sacred tradition under new pastoral leadership.
