Soul Feast Invites Spiritual Exploration
“Soul Feast” invites seekers to explore their faith and learn helpful practices for spiritual growth in a supportive and nurturing way. Based on Marjorie Thompson’s book, Soul Feast, An Invitation to the Christian Spiritual Life, Rev. Jen Van Zandt and Connie Kelly will guide the group through weekly exercises and discussions.
The group will seek to understand individual spirituality using the book’s topics such as Reading, Prayer, Worship, and growth through listening to God’s voice. The intention is for each individual to embrace a holistic approach to a spiritual awakening.
“There seems to be a growing hunger for a deep spiritual experience, not only in our congregation but also in our world,” says Rev. Jen. “Many people are searching for a better understanding of who God is in our lives.” She adds, “our hope and prayer is that this exploration will begin to satisfy that hunger and will teach us about how we can live and walk in God’s light.”
“Soul Feast” is open to those who desire to deepen their relationship with God. The group will begin meeting every Sunday evening at 7:00, February 21 through May 2 and perhaps beyond.
